Park Hyung-sik and Park Shin-hye of JTBC’s Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Doctor Slump’ will show off their delightful charms.
‘Doctor Slump’ is a romantic comedy depicting the cardiopulmonary resuscitation of Yeo Yeong-woo and Nam Ha-neul, who hit the brakes after only running on an upward curve in life. Director Oh Hyeon-jong of “Find Me in Your Memory” and “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo”, and writer Baek Seon-woo of “My Roommate is a Gumiho” and “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” worked together. Park Hyung-sik and Park Shin-hye reunited 10 years after “The Heirs”.
Park Hyung-sik plays Yeo Yeong-woo, a star plastic surgeon who falls into the worst slump of his life. His life has been smooth, from his school days when he was the top student in the entire school to becoming a star doctor with both skills and personality, but a mysterious medical accident pushes him to the edge.
Park Shin-hye plays Nam Ha-neul, an anesthesiologist suffering from burnout syndrome. One day, when she had been living a life where she did not know how to do anything other than study and work, she suddenly looked back on her completely ruined life and pledged to change
A still cut showing the two people’s 14-year timeline at a glance has been released. On the first day that Nam Ha-neul transfers to school, Yeo Jeong-woo’s eyes are unusual as he scans him. For some reason, he shows curiosity and caution towards the chic transfer student who shows no signs of tension. After such a brilliant time, Yeo Yeong-woo and Nam Ha-neul meet again as adults.
Regarding his feelings about working together again, Park Hyung-sik said, “I felt like I was frozen in time 10 years ago. So I was really surprised, and I learned and admired a lot while working together. I was really happy to work together.” Park Shin-hye also said, “I felt comfortable as if we had met yesterday. I really enjoyed filming. If I had an idea on set, I shared it and tried to make it fun. Instead of Eun-sang and Myung-soo from ‘The Heirs’ 10 years ago, I tried to show the unique charm of Ha-neul and Jung-woo. “I think you can see it,” he replied.
JTBC’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Doctor Slump” will premiere at 10:30 pm (KST) on the 27th.
